Glove Series. The
creation of the United States Patented Reptilian® Design Series by Akadema Professional
is a combination of technology meeting evolution. This revolutionary web, pocket,
and near finger-less design has many features to separate it from the normal ball
glove. The appearance and performance of the Reptilian® Design Series will make
all other baseball gloves extinct.
The Reptilian's near-fingerless design
creates a natural air pocket which acts as a shock absorber for initial ball impact,
making glove to hand transfer smoother and quicker. When the ball initially hits
the glove, it makes a depression that allows the ball to sit longer in the glove.
The near finger-less design also acts as a shovel for easier ground ball scooping.
With virtually no breaking points within the pocket, the Reptilian® is designed
to keep its unique shape longer than a regular glove. The Reptilian's leather
looks and feels like snake scales which give better traction and grip for less
ball spin.

| Professional
Glove Series. At Akadema® Professional, we have not only designed a glove
line with a professional and collegian player in mind, but also players of all
ages and abilities. Each glove is tailor-made for selected positions with the
sole purpose of raising a player's performance on the field.
1. Akadema
uses only the top USA Steerhide for its Professional Series Gloves. The Professional
Glove series uses US Steerhide on the glove shell, palm lining, finger lining,
and binding. Akadema uses the leather from the back and shoulder area for a strong
thick glove.
2. The Professional Series uses the top Ľ" USA rawhide for its
laces. Stronger sewing and welting techniques have strengthened the Akadema glove.
3. Infield and outfield gloves have "laced through fingers." This lacing procedure
makes the glove easier for a player to tighten and maintain.
4. Using a method
started by Major League equipment managers, all open web infield gloves have reinforced
lacing to strengthen the shell and pocket for less tearing in the pocket and a
stronger overall glove.
5. Akadema does not use pre oiled /conditioned leather
in its Pro Series infield, pitching and outfield making the glove lighter and
stronger for professional use.

Youth Glove Series. Ages 8-13, Akadema's Prodigy Design Series has quickly
gained a reputation as the benchmark in quality and design for serious youth ballplayers.
Made with a combination of Akadema's US Steerhide and exclusive AkademaLyte leather,
the Prodigy series is both light and durable. Hand-crafted for a quick and easy
break-in period, the Prodigy series also uses the Akadema Grasp Clasp wrist system,
making the glove more manageable for today's youth ballplayer.

Fastpitch
Glove Series. Created to satisfy the needs of the competitive fastpitch player,
the Akadema FastPitch Design Series is hand-crafted to increase the level of play
on the field. Constructed of US Steerhide throughout the pocket and webbing, the
back of the glove features exclusive AkademaLyte leather, decreasing the overall
weight of the glove and allowing for a faster break-in period and a more manageable
feel. Smaller finger stalls used to decrease the distance between the thumb and
index finger and Akadema Grasp Clasp Wrist System allow for increased playability.

Bat Speed! The Xtension Pro balance design was formulated to give a hitter more
control, leverage and bat speed at the plate. The Pro balance allows for a better
distribution of weight throughout the entire bat. The result is a much more manageable
bat with increased barrel speed through the hitting zone, creating increased bat
speed and power. The Xtension is made of Alcoa Alcalyte performance new and improved
impact extruded alloy, making it one of the hardest and most durable bats on the
market today.
Akadema Amish Wood Bats. Amish build Akadema’s Wood Bats in the Pennsylvania
Dutch Tradition. The Amish have been considered the best wood craftsmen since
their emigration to America in 1737. Their legendary expertise in fine wood products
and craftsmanship continues in Akadema’s Amish Wood Bats. The Akadema Wood Bat
starts its journey in the heart of the Catskill Forest where the hardest, healthiness,
straightest Northern Ash and Rock Maple is found. Lumberjacks from the region
select each split of ash and maple. The wood is then sent to a mill where it is
inspected, turned into billet and dried to specifications. The billet is then
hand selected by Akadema’s VP of Wood Production and sent to our Amish wood shop.
Without any electrical power the bats are turned similar to the process used two
centuries ago in a turn of the century barn.
